If you're getting a serious dose of déjà vu, we're right there with you. The RAZR i is a version of Motorola's Droid RAZR M that's headed to Europe and South America with a few differences. For the most part, though, it's cut from the same Kevlar cloth: you get a 4.3-inch AMOLED screen with qHD (960 x 540) resolution, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2,000mAh battery and 5GB of built-in storage -- with a microSD slot for expansion.

So what's different? On the outside, the RAZR i gets a physical, two-stage camera button. It's a welcome addition, but Intel reckons that its 2GHz processor is what you should be concerned with. It's the highest-clocked Medfield processor we've seen yet -- and perhaps more importantly, it's been placed in a core phone-maker's device. We've already come a long way from the Orange-branded San Diego. So how does this compare to the Qualcomm-powered (and LTE-capable) RAZR M? Will this Intel iteration charm us the same way? ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) ? Patriots owner Robert Kraft waited in the Ralph Wilson Stadium tunnel to welcome back the regular NFL officials, who returned from a lockout after reaching a new eight-year agreement with the NFL.

After shaking hands with most of the members of referee John Parry's crew, Kraft stuck around for Tom Brady to congratulate the quarterback as the two laughed and chatted on their way to the locker room.

Just like that, all seems well in New England (2-2) once again.

Brady shook off a sloppy first half to direct six consecutive touchdown drives in 52-28 rout of the Buffalo Bills (2-2) on Sunday. And whatever concerns the Patriots had after two consecutive losses ? and coach Bill Belichick getting fined $50,000 for losing his cool with the replacement officials following a 31-30 loss at Baltimore ? suddenly seem like distant memories.

"It was pretty personal," Brady said, when asked what he and Kraft discussed.

So might have been this game.

At a time when the Patriots' supremacy was being questioned, and the team was in jeopardy of losing three straight for the first time in 10 years, Brady and Co. rallied from a 14-point deficit with a remarkably efficient and dominating second half.

"We were down whatever it was, 21-7, on the road, our backs against the wall, and I thought we showed a lot of heart," Brady said. "That's what this team is made of. We're going to battle until the end."

Brady finished 22 of 36 for 340 yards and three touchdowns, Stevan Ridley scored two TDs rushing, and the Patriots defense did the rest by forcing six turnovers and getting three sacks.

Just don't try to convince the Patriots that they made it look easy in beating a familiar AFC East patsy.

"It's not as easy as it looks," tight end Rob Gronkowski said. "Overall, everyone just came together, chemistry, and worked hard, and things went rolling from the third quarter on."

Gronkowski's 28-yard touchdown catch on the first play of the fourth quarter made it 28-21 to put the Patriots up for good. And it came during a span of 12:41 in which New England scored 35 unanswered points.

The Patriots had two receivers break 100 yards, Gronkowski (104) and Wes Welker (129), and two running backs do the same Ridley (106) and Brandon Bolden (137).

"We just played and executed better," Belichick said. "It's no magic."

Magic no. Familiar, yes.

Fans of the ever-bumbling Bills ? a team that's gone 12 straight seasons without a playoff berth and dropped to 4-22 against division foes since 2008 ? have seen this outcome many times before in dropping to 1-17 in their past 18 meetings against New England, and 2-22 since the 2000 season

The Bills have now been outscored by a combined 204-116 in their last five games against the Patriots, and that includes a 34-31 win at Buffalo last season.

And the lopsided result was no different despite Buffalo committing more than $120 million in contracts to sign defensive ends Mario Williams and Mark Anderson in free agency this offseason.

"Ugly, not good," Williams said, referring to the Bills run defense.

Then again, their pass defense wasn't much better after managing just one sack.

"Something's up," Williams added. "We've definitely got to come in to the room, have a reality check and see what's going on."

Defensive tackle Kyle Williams had an even more blunt response, by saying: "The only reaction I have is, that was pathetic in the second half."

After Ryan Fitzpatrick hit Donald Jones for a 68-yard touchdown pass to put Buffalo up 21-7, the Bills collapsed.

Brady responded with an eight-play, 80-yard drive by hitting Danny Woodhead for a 17-yard touchdown, and then tied the game on a 4-yard run. By the time it was over, the Patriots produced 580 yards, the fourth-most in team history, and the second-most ever allowed by Buffalo.

Bills coach Chan Gailey was embarrassed.

"I don't like to play like that, and I don't like to think that's who we are," Gailey said. "But that's who we were today. You can't sugarcoat it."

The news gets even worse as Buffalo enters a stretch in which it will play four of its next five on the road.

Starting left tackle Cordy Glenn and starting right guard Kraig Urbik both hurt their right ankles and did not return. Gailey said both could miss games.

NOTES: Bills RBs Fred Jackson (sprained knee) and C.J. Spiller (left shoulder) split time in the backfield while coming back from injuries. ... The 52 points allowed by Buffalo were the most since a 56-10 loss to New England on Nov. 18, 2007. ... A Baby Shower Amidst the CHAOS | Sawdust and Embryos

For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to plan a baby shower and remodel my living room on the same weekend. It wouldn?t have happened this way if things had gone as planned. But we love entertaining, and I wasn?t about to let an inch of dust and power tools all over my living room prevent my from hosting a parTAY!

I mentioned on yesterday?s post about removing the living room wall that I took the girls to my parents on Saturday and did some baking. My mom and sister (Laura) were a HUGE help with this. And Laura even came back to our house and stayed over that night to help me set up the next day. She was so helpful with the girls. In this photo, she?s reading to Paisley from a Power Tool Catalogue.

AND, instead of frantically cleaning and trying to fit 30 people into a construction zone, we decided to move the living room outside. YEP!

I don?t remember who?s idea it was, but I?ll take credit for it. It was freaking awesome. The girls made themselves right at home in the yard, being surrounded by all the familiar furniture and their toys.

And it made for such a fun baby shower atmosphere. My sister-in-law, Carrie, is one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL pregnant mamma?s of all time. And I can?t wait to meet their incoming little boy! (But not so impatient that I can?t wait a few more weeks? stay in there little buddy!)

Isn?t my sister-in-law beautiful?

Laura was in charge of games, and we had ?stroller relays? where two people raced in Paisley and Adelyn?s strollers with a HUGE water balloon in it. We set up an obstacle course, and it was SO hilarious. Also, I kicked Laura?s little hiney.

And our pumpkin-themed baked goods were a big success!

After everything wrapped up and people headed home, my immediate family stuck around and helped clean up (THANK YOU!). And I think they would agree that the ?after party? was the best. This is my mom with the girls. I love fall colors!

Craft Room: Ribbon Organization

As well as being a?paperholic?I?m also a ribbon hoarder. Bet you find that hard to believe! One glance at my?scrapbook room?and it?s true confessions time. Much of this ribbon has been collected over the years. Yard sales, after Christmas and holiday sales, crafting products from years and years ago, hand me downs and thrifting. Surprisingly, with all this ribbon I?m not a bow maker. I?m sure there?s a great tutorial on Pinterest, but making a pretty bow is not something I?m good at. Collecting ribbon is.

What do I use all this ribbon for? Mostly for scrapbook pages and cards. I just love the added touch they bring. I?m all for tactile in my pages as much as possible. I also use the ribbon in tablescapes and home decor when it gives a special look.

The twin bed we have in the scrapbook room has a great selling point: drawers underneath for storage. Guess what I found to put in them! More ribbon. Imagine that.

This is the prettier version of ribbon storage. Five wooden dowel rods 1/4 inch thick, as the individual ribbon rolls demanded. We hooked off the ends with a washer and hung them up with a eye bolt. Easy and pretty to look at. I tried to organize according to color families. I?m a little OCD like that.

See all those tiny rows of ribbon spools on the bottom row? I won those in a blog drawing quite a while back. Yes, I actually won something! Can?t beat free!

Yes, there?s still more. I used a cd rack (yard sale for $1) and bought baskets at the dollar store to store even more ribbon. Not crazy about the colors but they were inexpensive.

I know. I?m a little obsessed. Don?t tell me husband, k?

I would love for you to see the vinyl wall quote I made for my scrapbook room to inspire me. I also used my Cricut for a family gallery wall in our den.

Bernanke makes strong defense of Fed rate policies

WASHINGTON (AP) ? Chairman Ben Bernanke offered a wide-ranging defense Monday of the Federal Reserve's bold policies to stimulate the still-weak economy.

The Fed needs to drive down long-term borrowing rates because the economy isn't growing fast enough to reduce high unemployment, Bernanke said in a speech to the Economic Club of Indiana. The unemployment rate is 8.1 percent.

Low rates could also help shrink the federal budget deficit by easing the government's borrowing costs and generating tax revenue from stronger growth, Bernanke argued.

The chairman cautioned Congress against adopting a law that would allow it to review the Fed's interest-rate policy discussions. The House has passed legislation to broaden Congress' investigative authority over the Fed and allow a review of its interest-rate policymaking. The Senate hasn't adopted the bill.

Bernanke warned that such a step would improperly inject political pressure into the Fed's private deliberations and affect the officials' decisions.

His speech follows the Fed's decision at its Sept. 12-13 meeting to launch a new mortgage-bond buying program. The goal is to try to drive low mortgage rates even lower to encourage home buying. Increased home sales could help spur hiring and accelerate economic growth.

The average rate on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage is already 3.4 percent, a record low. But Bernanke thinks home loan rates could fall further, in part because long-term Treasury yields are much lower: The rate on the 10-year Treasury is just 1.62 percent.

After its September meeting, the Fed said it would keep buying the bonds until the job market showed substantial improvement. It also decided to keep its benchmark short-term rate near zero through at least mid-2015.

In his speech, Bernanke sought to reassure investors that the Fed's timetable for keeping its short-term rate ultra-low "doesn't mean we expect the economy to be weak through 2015." Rather, he said the Fed expects to keep rates low well after the economy strengthens.

Bernanke spoke two days before President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney will hold a debate in which the economy is the central theme. And on Friday, the government will release its September jobs report. Economists expect only modest hiring and continued unemployment above 8 percent.

The U.S. economy is still struggling more than three years after the Great Recession ended. Persistently high unemployment and weak pay growth have kept spending by consumers weak. That, in turn, has hurt manufacturing

and slowed broader growth.

Bernanke reiterated his argument that lower rates boost growth by helping increase prices of stocks, homes and other assets. Greater household wealth tends to make consumers and businesses more willing to spend.

Bernanke noted that when the Fed launched its first round of bond buying in late 2008, the average rate on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage was a little above 6 percent. Today, the rate is 3.4 percent, the lowest since long-term mortgages began in the 1950s.

Still, the housing market's recovery remains slow, in part because many Americans lack the credit to qualify for a mortgage or can't afford the larger down payments now required.

The Fed's decision last month to launch a new mortgage-buying program was approved by its policy committee, 11-1. Jeffrey Lacker, head of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, cast the lone dissenting vote. Lacker has argued that further bond buying won't likely provide much economic help and risks igniting inflation in the future.

Charles Plosser, president of the Fed's Philadelphia regional bank, and Richard Fisher, president of the Fed's Dallas regional bank, have also been critical of the Fed's bond purchases. Plosser and Fisher do not have votes on the Fed's policy committee this year but take part in the discussions.

At the same time, one Fed official who had been skeptical of the bond buying now appears more open to it. Narayana Kocherlakota, president of the Minneapolis Fed, has signaled that he's grown more concerned about the economy's sluggish growth. In a speech a week after last month's policy meeting, Kocherlakota said the Fed should fight high unemployment with an even more aggressive approach than it announced.

Still, like Plosser and Fisher, Kocherlakota lacks a vote on the Fed's policy committee this year.

Typhoon lashes southern Japan, approaches Tokyo

TOKYO ? A powerful typhoon is heading to Tokyo after injuring dozens of people, causing blackouts and paralyzing traffic in southern Japan.

Japan's Meteorological Agency says Typhoon Jelawat is expected to hit the Tokyo region Sunday evening. It warns of torrential rain and sudden wind gusts, urging Tokyo residents to stay indoors.

At noon Sunday, the storm was packing winds of up to 144 kilometers (90 miles) per hour.

The typhoon left more than 50 people with minor injuries on the southern island of Okinawa on Saturday. Thousands of homes were without electricity.

Dozens of trains were suspended Sunday in coastal areas around Tokyo, and some 300 domestic flights were to be grounded throughout the day.

Up to half a meter (20 inches) of rain is expected in central Japan through Monday.

HBT: Millwood contemplating retirement

Kevin Millwood pitched decently for the Mariners this this season before a sore shoulder put an early end to things this month, but the impending free agent told Greg Johns of MLB.com yesterday that he?s not sure whether he wants to come back for another season.

?I?m going to go home and just relax and play with my kids and see what happens, see how I feel and see what pops into my head,? Millwood said Friday. ?I don?t have any definite plans right now on next year, but I?m sure at some point in the offseason it?ll hit me on what I want to do.?

?I knew I wanted to play this year,? he said. ?But like I said, now I?m just trying to figure out physically if I can do it. I still definitely believe I can get people out, but whether it?s time to stay home and spend more time with my kids or try it again, I don?t know the answer to that yet.?

Millwood signed a minor league deal with the Mariners last offseason and made the team out of spring training. The 37-year-old right-hander ended up posting a 4.25 ERA and 107/56 K/BB ratio over 161 innings in 28 starts. And he wasn?t just a Safeco Field creation either, as his ERA was only slightly higher on the road (4.35) than it was at home (4.15). Still, it?s unlikely any team will give him much of a guarantee at this point, so he?s understandably thinking about whether it?s worth trying to put his body through another season.

Millwood has a 169-152 record and a 4.11 ERA over 16 major league seasons. While he has averaged an unspectacular 6.9 K/9 for his career, he ranks 59th all-time with 2,083 strikeouts. He is the active leader in strikeouts among right-handed pitchers.
