Williams, Arizona (WBNG Binghamton) An Elmira College student missing since January has been found dead in Arizona.
A body found at the bottom of a cliff is believed to be that of 21 year-old Jessica Ronhock.
After last being seen in Elmira on January 10, Ronhock left a note for her roommates saying she had to leave for a family emergency, though her family said there was no emergency and she had not returned home.
Ronhock last had contact with her family on January 12.
Police confirmed that Ronhock had been in Florida, Texas, and used her credit card a few days later in Williams, Arizona.
Hikers found Ronhock in that canyon.
Police spoke with reporters in Arizona Sunday.
"A couple of hikers were hiking the area looking for horn sheds, a lot of lose their horns in this area, and having come upon this Jeep, which is buried in a bunch of brush at the bottom of a cliff here, and the county came down and ten they called us? Based on investigation, looks like the vehicle went off the road, down the cliff and it's been sitting there for quite a while," said AZ Highway Patrol Sgt. Stephen Robson.
Police estimate Ronhock's body has been in that canyon for one to two months.
The investigation continues.
