A question not generally posed to a homeowner is ?Are your windows full of it?? In some circles this could lead to a black eye, but this question isn?t quite as offensive or strange as it may sound.

Double glazed windows consist of two panes of glass sealed into a frame with either air or inert gas inhabiting the space between the glass panes. What inhabits that space, also known as the gap, is of the utmost importance to the window?s energy efficiency. So which is best, Argon or Xenon Filled double glazing? Argon is sufficiently efficient for most types of properties and is the most cost-effective of the two gases. Xenon is highly energy efficient, however it?s price tag puts it out of reach for most homeowners financially.
